Anyok Glow is one of the few remaining Buguns who still cultivates her own fields
The Buguns used to cultivate maize and potatoes around their small hamlets in and around Singchung. It is very rare to find Buguns cultivating their own lands these days. Land is usually leased to Nepali residents who engage in intensive cultivation of tomatoes and cabbage. Elephants visit these fields across the year and have reached areas where they were reportedly not found before.
